On November 1st, 2011, TEDx NewEngland debuted, and Tech Superpowers is proud to be one of the inaugural sponsors. Organized by TSP client Steve Baker, held at TSP client WGBH, and hosted by world-famous tech journalist David Pogue, TEDx NewEngland brought the innovative "Ideas Worth Acting On" concept to Boston.
With a program of incredible speakers including Tod Machover of MIT's Media Lab, artist Janet Echelman, Harvard Business School dean Nitin Nohria, and venture capitalist Jeet Singh, TEDx covered topics as diverse as the morality of today's CEOs, nuclear reactors, and young entrepreneurship – all thinking that we need more of in today's complex world.
Tech Superpowers is proud to be part of the inaugural TedX New England by providing Apple iPads to the six "Teachers of the Year" for each of the New England states, recognized during the TEDx event.
We have a proud history of supporting Boston's culture of creativity and innovation, including the Independent Film Festival of Boston, which we've sponsored every year since its inception in 2003. Even our tagline "Technology for Genius," recognizes that the Genius in our equation isn't us - it's our customers and members in the community who use technology every day to do incredible things.
Congratulations to Steve and the TEDx NewEngland volunteers for an amazing event.
