TSP Founder Rides the The Pan-Mass Challenge
On August 3rd to 4th, Tech Superpowers founder Michael Oh will ride the Pan-Mass Challenge, a fund-raising event that takes riders 180 miles from Sturbridge in the Western part of Massachusetts across to Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod.
Having raised $26 million last year for the Dana Farber Cancer Center's Jimmy Fund, the Pan Mass Challenge is the area's largest athletic fund-raising event and arguably one of the most successful in the nation, with 99% of the funds raised going to the Jimmy Fund.
A rider of 2001's 270-mile Boston to New York AIDS Ride, Michael is an avid cyclist who loves to support causes as part of his riding:
"I'm proud to represent Tech Superpowers in the Pan Mass Challenge. I think it's important for business - small or large - to contribute to the community in whatever way we can. Since TSP isn't big enough to fund large donations, the next best thing is to ride to raise funds for this great cause."

TSP Fields a Team for the The Boston2Portland Ride
In 2005, Ted Dillard organized a few riders to do a 100-mile ride from Boston to Portland, Maine. This rise, now called the "B2P" or "Boston2Portland" ride, contributes 100% of its funds to the cause of fighting Parkinson's.
The ride raises money for the Foundation for Neuroligical Disease, a world renowned laboratory at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in the Harvard Medical School complex. This year's ride, held on September 15th, will have 30, 50, and 100-mile options.
Tech Superpowers is throwing our hats into the ring - many of them - by fielding Team TSP: three riders in the Boston2Portland ride, including founder Michael Oh. Tech Superpowers has also promised to provide the same amount donated to its team as financial support for the ride logistics - meaning that 100% of your donations will continue to go to support research.
Ted Dillard, organizer of the ride, has worked at Tech Superpowers since 2006 and said that his goal with the ride was simply to show that people can make a difference:
"I wanted to somehow broadcast right there that if you think that your action, your thought, your vote, your opinion, your anything doesn't count, think again. But don't let the thought paralyze you. Act. Drive ahead. One person can, and so touchingly has, made a huge difference. In many, many lives."
