TSP RND - what is it?

This is an internal forum, but this post is a public post for all to read. All other posts are restricted from public view.

We have always believed that a company that lives in the world of technology can't simply wait until technologies find us. We have to be actively looking for new technologies and how they'll affect our clients in the years to come. Research and Development are part of our formula for Technology for Genius®.

Our Labs is where this process starts. Our techies can pick projects - related to anything from font management to what tools we should be carrying to do our jobs best, even new business ideas. They put together short proposals for their research and the company allots time to approved projects for our techies to work on them, flesh out the ideas, and create new opportunities for us and our clients.

While it's always difficult to balance the need to pay the bills with future-looking research, we think that a company without an RND policy is doing no favors for its clients. By having a program to allow our techies to think freely about what they do - even if it's only for a small percentage of their time on the job - we're looking forward rather than looking behind. And that's something that will always pay off for our clients.
