Hosting FAQ: Setting Up iCal with Hosting 2.0 Services

To go back to the Hosting Frequently Asked Questions, click here.

Note that only iCal in OS 10.5 or greater is compatible with our Hosting 2.0 services. We also recommend that your OS is updated to the latest updates available from Apple. Hosting 2.0 services work best on Mac OS 10.5.3 or above.

For Mac OS 10.6 and 10.7

1) Open iCal from your Applications folder

2) Go to the "iCal" menu and select "Preferences..."

3) Click on the "Accounts" tab

4) Click on the "+" in the lower left corner of the window to add a new Account.

5) Select "CalDAV" under Account Type.

6) Enter your full email address for "User Name," your email password, and "mail.techsuperpowers.com" as the Server Address and hit Create.

7) If iCal brings up an error, press "Continue"

8) Enter "/CalDAV/" under the server path, 443 as the port, and check "Use SSL." Then hit the Create button.

9) If you receive a message about a Certificate error, click on the "Show Certificate" button and then click on the "Always Trust" check box and hit "Continue." You may be asked for your account password on your computer.

iCal will then begin the process of syncing with our server.
